Project Show-Giant Bugs in American Zoo

You’ve certainly been to a zoo, but I’m guessing you haven’t been to a zoo that has not only a wide variety of live animals, but also with oversized “live” insects. For example, butterflies, spiders, scorpions, etc. These insects flap their wings, twist their heads, wag their tails, and make calls. It’s not a genetic mutation, it’s not a great initiative of scientists, it’s an artificial giant bug from our MyDinosaurs. Yes, they are animatronics insects.

This is the new area of the zoo, unlike the real animals in other areas. This area is full of vivid giant insects. These insects have attracted more visitors with their realistic appearances, oversized size, and lifelike movements.

During Halloween, the zoo launched more activities. Bringing people face to face with larger-than-life moving creatures like bees, butterflies, spiders, dung beetles, praying mantises, and scorpions. These animatronics marvels provide perfect photo opportunities as you trick or treat, adding another layer of fun to the festivities!

This zoo is a non-profit organization committed to securing a future for wildlife. Through its passion and expertise in animal care, conservation, and education, the zoo’s mission is to inspire its community to love, engage with, act for, and protect animals and the places they live. The zoo welcomes more than a million visitors each year and is open year-round.

So in this mega bugs area, they chose to use artificial insects instead of real insects, which can not only attract tourists, but also protect insects. And real insects are too small for observation and science. But for this kind of animatronics insects, visitors can clearly see their body structure and movements.

Giant animatronic bugs are increasingly popular in exhibitions and educational settings, offering a unique way to engage audiences with the world of insects, Animatronic bugs are designed to mimic the movements and sounds of real insects. These insect exhibits often aim to educate visitors about the ecological roles of insects and their importance in ecosystems.
